Abstract
As more school systems tend to rate teachers by the performance of their students on tests, there is an everincreasing tendency to “teach to the test.” This brings a direct call for teachers of mathematics – one of the most tested topics in the curriculum – to develop a transition to enrichment topics. The intention of thisinvestment of time is to make the students appreciate mathematics and to become more receptive learners. This paper will provide a series of ideas teachers can use to transition to an enrichment moment during their regular instruction with the hope that these few illustrations will guide the way to others that the teacher will find appropriate.
